Happy Valentines Day!

I hope everyone has a wonderful valentines day!  Thanks to everyone who participated in our valentines day special.  We got loads of great images and created some ADORABLE valentines for friends, family and classmates :)

Shannon Walton Photography has a new facebook fan page :)   Check out the link at the bottom of  the blog and become a fan!  I’ll post news and specials on a regular basis.

No post is complete without images so here is one of my sweetest little clients!

He melts my heart…

Just a tiny sneak peek :)   My little nephew is 9 months!  I can’t believe it!  9 months is one of my FAVORITE ages to photograph and we got so much cute stuff.  I can’t wait to proof the whole session!

Isn’t he adorable!!

Newborn models needed!

I am hosting a workshop at my studio  March 2nd and 3rd.  A  group of photographers will be attending to learn how I photograph newborn babies.  I can’t have a workshop about newborns without newborns so I need your help :)

I would like to do a live newborn session and need at least two babies 14 days or newer.  If you are expecting mid to late February or  scheduled to have a c-section at the end of February and are interested in beautiful images of your new baby please contact me.

The session will be complimentary and include a very nice print credit as a thank you for letting us use your baby as one of our models.

I may also need some child models, I will let you know if I do :)

Thanks so much and look forward to hearing from you!

**Update** We have enough newborn models for the workshop.  Thanks so much everyone!

Then and Now!

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is watching “my” babies grow.  I really don’t know where the time goes.  I photographed this little one when she was brand new and just had her one year session at the studio the other day.  I have photographed big brother several times and it was so nice to see them again.  Baby “E” was a little unsure of me at first but soon warmed up.  Big brother was so good and we got some great stuff of him too!

Baby “E” brand new…

and now…

Posting Palooza Part III

What can I say except from the very beginning there was the “G” family.  I adore them, I have a blast when I photograph them, they totally get my style of capturing real moments.  I could have closed my eyes and just picked images from their gallery.  I love them all!  Thank you “G” family for your continued support and I am thankful to be your photographer :)

{Brothers}

A few weeks ago I was designing a book for a client and went searching for quotes about brothers.  I found this quote and when I read it I got chills and knew it was perfect for the page.  Then a week or so later was designing a birth announcement and again thought it was a perfect match to the image.  I just love it and was wishing I had an image of my boys so that I could use it to.  Well, this past weekend we did some family images and I got an image of them together I absolutely love so now I get to use this beautiful quote too  :)

{Senior}

Most of you know I mainly shoot little clients but occasionly I get to shoot seniors.  “K” was AWESOME and we captured some stunning images!  I also loved her clothing choices!   I love shooting things that aren’t the norm for me because it challenges me and lets me be creative in a whole new way.  I had a hard time picking favorites to post so this will be a large share.

Newborns Part I

I’m going to try to catch up on some posting.  It’s raining babies lately and this little one was the first to arrive.  Love this family.  They are always up for anything and even fed me while I was there.  I always say full babies make happy sleepy babies.  The same could be said for me!  A full belly makes me happy too!!
