That’s what we call her. Lately I’ve been obsessed with photographing her. I’m not sure why, maybe it’s because she has a loose tooth and those top baby teeth will no longer be. She’s growing up, I don’t like it, but she is. She could be the most photographed child in Central Illinois. After all I started doing this when she was just 9 months old. Yep, nearly 7 years ago. So many things have changed in that time, I have grown as a photographer, and she has grown into a little lady. I look back at the thousands of images I’ve taken of our baby, our only girl, and am thankful to be able to give her beautiful photos when she is grown. My hope is that she looks at these images and feels how much we loved HER, not how much I loved photography.

Fall is almost here and the field was looking beautiful with all the yellow flowers in bloom. It was just calling for the new yellow chair, so her daddy and I made promises of an ice cream cone at DQ and she agreed to some fun in the field. The sun wasn’t quite low enough when we first arrived so she got that cone before our session She has always been pretty great as long as I’m patient while we are shooting. Most of the smiles are a result of her dad giving me bunny ears or pretending he sees a spider on my head.

We are completely booked for September and I only have 3 remaining spots in October. So if you want a fall session it’s best if you grab one now

I’ve been photographing them for a LONG time Their kids know me, feel comfortable with me. Building a relationship with your photographer is a great way to get relaxed, fun images. Not to mention when everyone feels comfortable it will show in your photos. That photographer doesn’t have to be me, but if you find one who’s work you love, who works well with with your family, the images can only get better in my opinion. For my clients, I get to know their personalities, what they like, what makes them laugh, and even how they like me to shoot. I’m familiar with what they typically order and need for their homes and plan the session accordingly. I have many, many families who I see on a regular basis. It’s THE main reason I have stayed busy. Combine that with so many who refer their friends, which in my opinion is THE best form of advertising (a happy client telling another) and you have a successful studio/client relationship Now onto the “V” family…

They grow like weeds…

It’s been a year since I photographed this little beauty. I have a couple images of her hanging in the studio and couldn’t believe how much she changed in just one year. She was busy and full of personality….just how I like them The family shot is another I could post in the “what to wear” post. I love their solid brown shirts and her coordinating brown pattern!

This is the last week of summer vacation before school starts for my 3 kiddos. I may take a bit longer to respond to e-mail and voice mails as I’m trying to spend as much time as possible with them. My baby is starting kindergarten…how on earth did that happen??

A gift for Grandma…

I have to tell you that these kids were perfect! You could tell they hang out together all the time and I just loved how close they were. I’m only posting a couple because Grandma wasn’t able to make the session and want to show her all the images so I can see the look on her face What a beautiful group and they made it sooooo easy!! I really enjoyed hanging out and hope they make the cousin session an annual event!!

In an effort to get back into blogging I purchased some way cool blog templates All I do is press play, select the photos and Voila!! Love them and I’ve been playing so get ready for a monster sized post!!

Facebook has made me lazy, but am going to try extra hard to get a bunch of the sessions that I never blogged up here next week. Have a great weekend everyone!!

What can I say except from the very beginning there was the “G” family. I adore them, I have a blast when I photograph them, they totally get my style of capturing real moments. I could have closed my eyes and just picked images from their gallery. I love them all! Thank you “G” family for your continued support and I am thankful to be your photographer
