Yay for Girls!!

I have had a BUNCH of little guys at the studio lately.  All my babies due this month are boys too so it was really nice to have a few little ladies this past week!  Don’t get me wrong, I like boys too (have two of my own), but it was nice to get some bows, cute hats and the color pink in the studio!!  Isn’t she a doll and sooo good too!  Her daddy is responsible for most of these grins!  Thanks to mom for helping with my reflector :)   I am spending the entire day proofing, I have been shooting non stop for a week so I really need to catch up.

Illinois Child Photographer ~ The mini Album

Love these!  They have been a huge hit since we started offering them several months ago. You get to choose 10 images from your session. The books have magnetic closures and offer design on the front and back. Such a great gift for grandparents or for display on your desk. I have loads of them at the studio so be sure to check them out when your in for your session!

Beautiful family

One of my regular clients contacted me about a doing a family session for her friend.  6 years ago this beautiful wife and mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and just recently discovered the cancer was back and in her bones.   I was inspired by their faith and motivated by their courage.  My gift of images was returned 10 fold in the experience of capturing the connection between them.  My hope is that they feel what I felt while looking through my lens.

~Illinois Child Photographer~ Outside at the studio!

The studio pretty much offers the best of both worlds.  Inside when it’s cold or really hot  or outside when it’s nice and we get to utilize the foliage and BEAUTIFUL natural light :)    For those of you planning an outdoor session all of these images were taken outside at the studio.  Another great benefit is we get to use anything we want inside the studio.  I have a large collection of chairs, trunks and so on.  This handsome little 3 year old was absolutely perfect!  I loved his hat and I don’t think they come any CUTER!!   He will soon be a big brother!  I love that they scheduled a session just for him :) Best wishes to the “K” family on their soon to be new addition!  I have a feeling he will be an AWESOME big brother!!

Say goodbye to the shoebox!

This is product week here at Shannon Walton Photography :)   I decided to share some of the great products we have at the studio to showcase images from your session.  Love these boxes.  I printed one for each of my own kids.  I plan to do this once a year and add images to the box throughout the year.  Do you have images thrown in a shoebox?  Why not store them in a beautiful box that is a piece of art all on it’s own?
