He melts my heart…

Just a tiny sneak peek :)   My little nephew is 9 months!  I can’t believe it!  9 months is one of my FAVORITE ages to photograph and we got so much cute stuff.  I can’t wait to proof the whole session!

Isn’t he adorable!!

There is nothing like…

a brand new baby!   Newborn photography definitely requires a bit of patience as they are typically my longest sessions because baby calls the shots :)   I have photographed lots of new babies and over the years have learned many things that work and many things that don’t.  I’m constantly trying to come up with something new.  Each and every session sparks some creativity which makes them so much fun for me.  Another bonus is that most times I get to watch them grow.  Our new baby plan has been extremely popular so you will get to see lots of these newborns grow right along with me.

I’m going to post some recent newborn images but also wanted to mention I would like to get one more newborn lined up for my workshop in March.  You can view the post below for info.

**Update**  We have enough newborn models!  Thanks so much everyone!!

Newborn models needed!

I am hosting a workshop at my studio  March 2nd and 3rd.  A  group of photographers will be attending to learn how I photograph newborn babies.  I can’t have a workshop about newborns without newborns so I need your help :)

I would like to do a live newborn session and need at least two babies 14 days or newer.  If you are expecting mid to late February or  scheduled to have a c-section at the end of February and are interested in beautiful images of your new baby please contact me.

The session will be complimentary and include a very nice print credit as a thank you for letting us use your baby as one of our models.

I may also need some child models, I will let you know if I do :)

Thanks so much and look forward to hearing from you!

**Update** We have enough newborn models for the workshop.  Thanks so much everyone!

Then and Now!

One of my favorite things about being a photographer is watching “my” babies grow.  I really don’t know where the time goes.  I photographed this little one when she was brand new and just had her one year session at the studio the other day.  I have photographed big brother several times and it was so nice to see them again.  Baby “E” was a little unsure of me at first but soon warmed up.  Big brother was so good and we got some great stuff of him too!

Baby “E” brand new…

and now…

Heart breaker.

Photographed Kyle for his valentines and wanted to show you a couple options for the older boys mini sessions.  I can’t decide on the front of his card.  I think he likes the fire image, which by the way, was added in photoshop.

There are still openings for our mini sessions :)

Love is in the air…

valentinespecial1

Every year I do valentines for my kids to pass out at school or before Emma was in preschool mail to friends and family.  They are always a huge hit.  I have wanted to do mini sessions for the past several years but shooting strictly on location made if very difficult.  So this year I tried to plan ahead.  I asked a couple of my friends and clients to model for me.  We had so much fun!!  I also realized things I needed to tweak and make better for the mini sessions.  So we will have a few more options, especially for boys, if you book a session.  I have a couple clever ideas for the little fellas :)   It’s a little tough coming up with a boyish theme for valentines with all the hearts and pink/red decorations that go along with the holiday but think you will be pleased :)

These sessions are ideal for 1-2 kids.  No large groups please.  You will need to pay the session fee when you book to hold your spot and they are going to be very limited.  I will need to proof and design cards from each session and would never have time before Valentines Day to get it all done if I took 100 bookings :)   So what I’m really saying is if you are interested I wouldn’t wait as the time slots will be first come first served.

You will also need to choose images from your online gallery as soon as possible so that we can get your valentine cards designed and ordered.

Happy New Year!

I have contacted the winner of our caption contest.  Congratulations “J”!  I will also be donating $240 to St. Jude.  Thank you to all who entered captions and took the time to vote in our contest!

Lots of info to share with you.  We have new pricing plans and bonus levels for 2010.  Please e-mail me if you are interested in booking a session for 2010.  I will be glad to send you the info.  We went on a mini vacation for New Year’s and when we got home my inbox was full of clients wishing to book and my calendar is already filling up.  Thank you!

We are now offering a new baby plan.  I have been wanting to do this for several years now and finally put something together which gives you a REALLY great deal on multiple sessions in babies first year as well as complimentary prints and discounts on some fabulous products.   It starts with a newborn session which needs to be done within the first 2 wks of birth and includes each milestone along the way.  If you know someone who is expecting this would make a phenomenal baby shower gift :)   I will only take so many baby plan clients so that I have time to photograph regular sessions also.  As most of you know I limit the number of sessions I shoot each month so that I can ensure great customer service and so that I can spend time with my family as well.

Phew..thanks so much to each and every one of you for making 2009 a fabulous year!  I never dreamed I would have my own studio and booking sessions in Jan. for Sept :)   It’s pretty awesome!  THANK YOU!

Lately I have had LOTS of boys  in the studio.  So here are just some of my faves…
