I’m pretty sure it was worth the wait!

Here is the last post for today, I must get back to work.  This little ones momma called me last year in the fall I believe to book a session.  Well, I was completely booked and couldn’t get her in.  I really do not like turning clients away, but in order to spend time with my family and not go completely crazy I limit my sessions.  Not only does it give me time with my family, but it keeps each session fresh, new and unique.  So first thing this year when I started taking bookings for 2009 Little “E”s mom called to schedule a session in May.  I was thrilled and have to tell you that I think it was worth the wait.

Yep, I’m pretty sure it was worth the wait!!

Next up…

I have been photographing these two for several years now and always enjoy seeing them.  Big sis is just stunning!  I gasped when I opened several of her images.  Little brother is a doll and both have AMAZING blue eyes.  Their mom is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and always look forward to hanging out with her.

Again, I had a hard time choosing as you will see this is large share…

I’ve been busy!

Sorry for the posting delay but it’s been a little crazy around here!  I have lots, and I mean LOTS of images to share!  I guess I just needed a little nudge (thank you Colleen) to get my act together and share some recent sessions.  None of these are sneak peeks as all my clients have seen their images but each deserve their spot featured on the blog, so here it goes…

First up, this Adorable little 1 year old, and I mean Adorable with a capitol A!  It turns out he wasn’t feeling so well and although we got a few cute images we had to cut our session short and are reshooting in a couple weeks when he is feeling like is regular chipper self.  It is very important to me that my clients get a gallery full of images that capture their children, every single ounce of them!  I look forward to seeing him again.  I mean c’mon look at him, who wouldn’t want to spend time with this Adorable(yes, with a capitol A) little fella!!

Happy Birthday Kyle!!

My little guy turns 9 today!!  I’ve said this before over and over, he is the funniest kid I have ever met.  He makes me laugh every single day!  His teacher wrote on his coduct and effort sheet, “Kyle cracks me up!”

We hope you have a wonderful day Kyle!  Happy Birthday!

We love you bunches and bunches!!

Just a quick note

We are booked for the months of May, June, July and August.  September has 2 remaining spots.  Thanks to all who have booked their sessions…I’m looking forward to seeing some old friends and meeting some new ones!

Rainy Days!

Do you know what rainy days are good for?

WORMS!!

blog112

She named him wormie and asked if we could keep him inside.  She for the most part is such a girly girl.  She loves to dress up, play in my makeup, have tea parties and  coordinate her clothing.  Yet she loves to play in the mud, wrestle with her brothers, and thinks a fart is about the funniest thing ever!  I truly have the best of both worlds with her.

By far her favorite thing to do is swing.  She could swing for hours.  I push her about 1000 times a day on that swing.  After we found wormie a proper place to live (not in our house) I pushed her on the swing and snapped some shots.  I thought this one was pretty cool…

Thanks Uncle Rick!

My BIL painted Kyle’s batting helmet to match his uniform and #!  Isn’t it cool!!

She did it again…

I photographed little “K” a few months ago and one of my favorite shots (and moms too) was this one…

So while I was proofing this session and came across this one I thought, WoW!  There is something about this little beauty when she looks down and to the side that captivates me.  Just an innocence about it that I love…

Now, I have many, many favorites from this session.  Way too many to post.  I could have photographed her all day!   I’m looking forward to our summer session with her brothers.   The morning of the session mom e-mailed concerned about the amount of natural light and that the grass was going to be wet.  Well, I convinced her that the light would be fine and we just needed some props to get her off the ground.  I brought a chair and asked if she had an old wagon.  Luckily grandma had saved the wagon from when “K”’s mom was little and we got to use it.  She also had the old wooden rocking chair that worked out perfectly.

Here are just a few of the gallery full of beautiful images…

Look at those lashes!

Happy 1st birthday “K”!

Happy Mother’s Day to me!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!  What a beautiful day it was here in Central Illinois.  I told my husband the only thing I wanted for Mother’s Day was an image of all three of my kids together in my new chair.  I had a location in mind, but when we arrived the field of tall brown grasses had been cut down!  Drats!  So we decided this location would work just fine instead.  They really were good, it’s just sooo hard to photograph your own kids.  Especially when they have had the camera in their faces constantly for the past 4 years.  I try not to photograph them as much as I use to, and it is getting easier as they get a bit older.  At least Emma will stay in one spot for more than 2 seconds.  Anyway, I did get a keeper and it will be printed as a 30×30 gallery wrap!  I think I got some great images of them seperately too, but I must get back to work on my regular clients sessions so those will have to wait.

A special thank you to my husband for helping me and getting the chair to gardens.  He never ever complains even though a session with my kids is not the most stress free way to spend the day.

If you are interested in using my chair for your session, let me know.  It will have to be an evening or weekend appointment when my handsome delivery man is available for delivery.
