Oh, he was good to me. He slept the entire session! Here are a few of my faves..

CJ (Charles Jacob) Walton! What a perfect little miracle!
Born: April 14th
Weighing: 6lbs 8 oz.
20 inches long.
What a little peanut! We visited yesterday and took some snapshots. We are doing a proper newborn session this week and think mom and dad have some great things planned. I can’t wait!
He’s such a handsome little fella…

His beautiful momma. His daddy was busy getting some things ready for the nursery so I didn’t get one shot of him…shame on me! I promise to get some of daddy during his newborn session. Sorry Scott!

Uncle BG…

Me, Ryan and CJ…

Ryan is a natural with babies. He would hold Emma forever when she was new and did not like it when she became mobile and wouldn’t sit still long enough for him to hold her like this anymore…

Kyle really surprised me. I thought he’d want to hold him for about 5 seconds and be on to something else. He could not get enough of him. He sat with him and stroked his head and checked out his toes and talked to him forever. He even asked if we could take him home.

I know that Aunt Courtney was very nervous about letting Emma hold him and rightfully so. We had practiced with Emma’s babies and she was so good.

Grandma Walton…

Congratulations to Scott and Courtney! We love you both and know you will be amazing parents. We hope to be half the Aunt and Uncle you have been to our kids. He is absolutely perfect and are looking forward to watching him grow!
I usually never neglect my blog for this long and apologize. I had a little vacation with my kids over spring break and it was quite nice. No, we didn’t go anywhere warm and exotic, but we did have fun hanging out together and it was nice to take a little break.
Here is Emma with the new sunglasses her dad bought her. She cracks me up!!

This is Great-Grandma Paulsen. Emma and Great-Grandma share a middle name because she may be one of the strongest, kindess people I have ever known.

You know what I love most about this image. Their hands. Look how they are the same. To see her hands next to Emma’s is amazing to me. I think about all the shoes she has tied, the scrapes and bumps she has bandaged, the meals she has prepared, the hands she has held.
