She’s 4!!!

Someone has gone and replaced our baby girl with this….

On the day she was born it snowed what seemed like snow flakes the size of sheets of paper.  It was very cool that our first snow of this year was on her birthday.  We thought for sure she was going to be a December baby but she decided otherwise and snuck in (or out I guess) at 11:59 p.m. on November 30th.  I will never forget what time she was born.  She is still very much opinionated on most everything she does.

Happy 4th birthday Emma Bean!!

Love You!

Thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Walton’s!

Ahhhh, sibling love….

Can’t you just feel it?

I most definately think that should be the front of their holiday card, don’t you?  Great kids, adore their parents and really enjoy photographing them.

Can’t decide between the black and whites and color so I’m gonna post both…

My Abercrombie Model…

He acts like he would rather have teeth pulled than be photographed.  Secretly though I think he may enjoy it a little.  I even caught him busting a move (is that what the kids still call it?).  Man, I’m getting old!  It was fun hanging out just the two of us.    People say he’s alot like me.  I like to think he’s alot like me because of his caring spirit and big heart.  That’s what I’d like to think anyway.  Having trouble deciding between the black n white and the color of the first shot.  I would love to know your favorite!

More hats!

Isn’t she adorable?!  I ordered this hat awhile ago and was just waiting for a baby girl to use it!  Just love it.  She only left it on for about 2 seconds so it’s a good thing my camera is faster than that!

Hello, My name is Shannon Walton…

and I am addicted to HATS!!

Oh the pressure!

You see last year the “G” families holiday card was quite a hit.  In fact many who recieved it still have it on display.  So we have been dreaming up ideas for an entire year for “M”’s fall session to try and top the card this year.  Talk about pressure!  Not to mention that another family who I photograph and are friends of the “G” family decided they were going to take a crack at being the coolest card this year too!

Maybe I’ll post both after the holidays and you can decide!

I was completely blown away by the “set” her mom and dad had created for us!  “M”’s daddy had cut logs for her to sit/stand on, placed old barn siding to use as the backdrop and a braided rug for the floor.  Her mom bought the cutest petti, outfits and props.  A photographers dream!!

I always look forward to our sessions, not just because they always go all out, but because I consider them friends.  I have been photographing her for a few years now and in the very beginning she wasn’t real sure of me.  Now when I see her she runs to me with open arms saying, “Mrs Walton, Mrs Walton!”  It melts my heart!

Here is last years card:

Several from our recent session:

She was a bride for halloween, so we took a few in her costume…

Boys!

Not really a sneak peek as they have already seen their gallery, but really need to start catching up the blog.  I photograph this family many times throughout the year and always look forward to their sessions.  This time we shot at grandma and grandpas sun porch.  What a beautiful location.  White everywhere you turn and loads of windows to let that beautiful natural light in.  It was very overcast and oh so cold outside but we did take a few outside before their little noses turned red.

Brrr!!

Baby it’s cold outside!!  I pretty much like to live in a constant state of comfort.  I’m not a fan of the heat nor the cold.  I would much rather be in a temperature controlled 70 degrees year round!  So, when it’s too cold to venture outside we shoot inside.  Just sharing a few of my little miss personality!!

A much better day…

We had planned this families session the day we had a wind advisory.  Needless to say that is not the best time to be photographed.  We decided to postpone to the next weekend and the weather could not have been more beautiful.   I hope we have many more session together because Colleen and I really enjoyed working with them.

Although this first one makes me think I must not be too interesting…..
